Mick’s story
I always led a very healthy lifestyle. I exercised extensively and have always eaten a pretty well balanced and nutritious diet.
It was therefore truly a shock when a number of years ago I suffered a stroke. At this time it was also discovered that I had a life threatening health condition pertaining to my eyesight that was only correctable with surgery and a further improvement and change of my diet. It was now essential for me to ensure that I consumed enough nutritional calories to help my brain and body function not only efficiently, but to their optimal cognitive, physical, emotional and intellectual capabilities.
I initially formulated this bar for my own personal use. Then, working with nutritionists, dieticians, food scientists, naturopathic doctors, a neuro-physiologist as well as other brain & heart specialists, I spent many years of research & development on it in an attempt to create the single best nutrition bar on the market….for both the body AND the brain! I am delighted to announce that I believe I have finally achieved my goal! Now it is my wish to share my life’s work with others who need it! I am so grateful to be living a healthy life despite my condition that I want to give back and help others who will benefit from my bars as well!
Realizing that the empty calories & sugar associated with many of today’s foods & drinks were having detrimental effects on both my brain and body’s performance, as well as the questionable attributes and taste associated with many so-called energy bars or meal replacements, I formulated my own healthy bar. A bar that would sustain me through my travels and my day-to-day lifestyle and fuel my brain & body for their all important creative, intellectual, physical and emotional requirements. My bars are created to maximize both cognitive and physical functioning.
Despite the overwhelming number of bars on the market, most are high protein disregarding other important nutrients and often packed with sugar, or are what I refer to as “glorified candy bars” that taste great but are really not good for you at all! Others that are good for you tend to be dry or “chalky” in taste. My bars are not intended to be protein bars….rather, they are a well balanced source of nutrition that can be regarded as a mini-meal replacement of sorts! Also, after years of extensive sampling I can honestly claim that not only are they really good for you….they also TASTE really good!!
